Electronics Engineering graduated from the National Technological University, Paraná Regional Faculty, Entre Ríos, Argentina, with specialization in Power Electronics, Control Systems and maintenance and equipment management.
Work experience:
He joined Salto Grande in 2002 as a technical intern in the Electrical Maintenance Area. The following year he was appointed as a basic Maintenance Officer, performing functions in the Auxiliary Services, Main Machines and Automatism sectors within the same area.
In 2004, he was appointed in the Automation Sector to fulfill the tasks of implementing the Control and Excitation System of the hydrogeneration units. Between 2005 and 2010 he worked as Deputy Supervisor in the aforementioned Sector, being elected in 2010 as Chief.
In 2011, he assumed the leadership of the Electrical Maintenance Area until 2019, when he was designated as Project Manager for the Salto Grande Renovation project, a position he currently holds.
Since 2022, he is the General Manager of the Joint Technical Commission of Salto Grande.

Roberto Martínez

Electrical Engineer graduated from the University of the Republic,Uruguay. Specialization in Electrical Power Systems.
Professional Background:
In 1995 he joined the U.T.E (National Administration of Electrical Power Plants and Transmissions) in the Area of Telecontrol Projects for 150 kV Transmission Substations. From 1999 to 2008 he was the Transmission Maintenance Engineer, specializing in Substation Reengineering Projects, field commissioning tests at 150 kV and 500 kV, development of technical specifications and factory reception tests of power equipment. Since 2009 to 2019 worked as Deputy Manager of Transmission Engineering and Responsible for Engineering of Power Equipment in 150 kV and 500 kV, work with Voltage (TCT) in Lines and Substations, Logistics of Transmission Exploitation Warehouses, Tenders and Technical Specifications.
Between 2017 and 2019 was responsible for the Project “Strengthening management of Voltage Works (TCT) in 150 and 500kV in UTE, with the electrical company RTE-France being a partner in the project. In 2019, was the Transmission Operation Management Manager, in charge of the three Transmission Operation Centers (Melilla, Salto, Maldonado) and the Engineering Deputy Management.
Finally, in 2020, he joined Salto Grande as Head of the Substations Area, responsible for the maintenance and operation of the four 500 kV Substations of binational quadrilateral.
Also from 2006 to date, he is Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the Catholic University of Uruguay (UCU).
In 2024, he works as the General Manager for the Joint Technical Commission of Salto Grande.
